Neural Network Learning Events
Join Canada's premier gathering of AI researchers, practitioners, and enthusiasts. Our 2025 event series brings together minds shaping the future of machine learning.
Hands-On Neural Architecture Workshops
Our signature workshop series runs from September through November 2025. You'll work directly with convolutional networks, transformer architectures, and reinforcement learning systems that are actually deployed in production environments.
- Build and train custom neural networks using real datasets
- Explore computer vision applications in medical imaging
- Implement natural language processing for document analysis
- Design reinforcement learning agents for optimization problems
- Debug and optimize model performance in practical scenarios

2025 Event Calendar
Our carefully planned schedule ensures you can dive deep into each topic while maintaining momentum in your learning journey.
Fundamentals Intensive
Two-day deep dive into neural network mathematics, backpropagation algorithms, and gradient descent optimization. Perfect for building solid theoretical foundations.
Format: In-person with virtual attendance option
Computer Vision Applications
Hands-on experience with CNNs, image classification, object detection, and segmentation. Work with real medical imaging data and autonomous vehicle perception systems.
Prerequisites: Basic Python and linear algebra
NLP and Transformers
Build your own transformer models, fine-tune pre-trained language models, and implement attention mechanisms. Includes practical work with BERT, GPT architectures, and custom tokenizers.
Special: Industry guest speakers from Canadian AI companies
Research Leaders and Practitioners
Our events feature researchers who've published breakthrough work in top-tier conferences and practitioners deploying neural networks at scale in Canadian industries.
Dr. Elena Kowalski
Principal Researcher, Vector Institute
Elena leads medical imaging research using deep learning for early cancer detection. Her work on few-shot learning in radiology has been adopted by three major Canadian hospitals.
Dr. Priya Chen
Senior AI Architect, Shopify
Priya designs and deploys recommendation systems serving millions of users daily. She'll share insights on scaling neural networks and handling real-world data challenges in e-commerce.
